There's art that's made as one of a kind by an individual artist and there is also art that is made in multiples as the result of a collaborative effort. At Murtra Edicions, artists work together with professional printmakers who use their knowledge of specialized techniques to create original editions. The artist and intaglio printmaker Jordi Rosés and the publisher and intaglio printer Pilar Lloret live in a house that is both a printmaking workshop and the central office of Murtra Edicions. By putting their hands in the etching tray or by using the printing press, they widen the possibilities of making art for others. — Vicenç Altaió
